[Spotify for Artists] Upload a GIF as a band's album cover

Dear all,

I would like the artists (and users) to be able to upload a GIF as a cover of their album/EP/song/playlist. As a band member, I think this would be a great feature to draw attention of listeners.

Note: I have only seen the GIF only for certain songs of popular bands, but having uploaded my band's album, I have never seen the option.

Is there any way to make the feature happen?

If there is to be a poll for that, I will happily spread the word to get enough support.

Just to confirm, are you talking about the Canvas feature on Spotify? If so, you can find more info on how it works and how to upload one via Spotify for Artists here.

If not, do you mind clarifying how your idea would be different to Canvas?

Hi Spotify Team,

Thanks for the information, that is actually exactly what I was looking for.
However, while trying to follow the instruction on
https://canvas.spotify.com/en-us and ended up not having the option of
adding the canvas to my band's page.

Neither Desktop

Nor the Mobile

provided the option of adding the canvas. (Both app and system are
completely up-to-date).

Any advise on how to go from here?

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
I've moved the thread from the Idea board to the Help board, considering you're experiencing a little issue with the Canvas feature.

In your situation, I recommend that you be in touch with the Spotify for Artists support. They will take a look at your situation and refer you to the best solution to solve it.
