A New Reason to Hate Spotify

You can't even access all your playlists directly. You have to control it from your phone. And even that doesn't work properly. Try starting a playlist from your phone? it plays one track, then skips to some random stuff. Why? Who knows. It’s almost like Spotify wants you to stop using your own playlists.

Honestly, what's the point of having a TV app if you can't use it on its own, and can't even trust it to play what you selected?

Good job, Spotify for breaking the most basic function of a music app.

In order for us to investigate this further, can you let us know the following:

• The model, OS version and Spotify version of your phone and your TV.
• What's preventing you from accessing your playlists on the TV?
• Is Smart Shuffle enabled when starting the playback from your phone?
• Does it behave the same if you don't switch the playback device to the TV and continue playing on the phone?
• Do you get the same behavior with albums?

If possible, send us a few screenshots or a short video of the issue with your playlists on the TV and the playback issue when casting from the phone. We'd like to take a closer look at your Now Playing View and the contents of your queue. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.
