I rented a Tesla Model 3 for a week on vacation last year, and had linked my Spotify account without signing out. Ever since then, other renters periodically try to use my Spotify account (which is still linked to the Tesla). I've tried the following without success:
How can I remotely get this Tesla to stop having access to my Spotify account? Thanks!

I am having the same issue -- sold my Tesla last week through SHIFT and now the new owner is using the account. I don't know who the owner is so can't contact them. My solution...play really annoying music for them!!! When he cuts into my account I start playing Engelbert Humperdink followed by Fear followed by Donna Summer. He must be wondering what the **bleep** is going on!!! Anyhow, he's stopped for now. It's a fun game for me but not really a solution to the problem.
Can’t you just change your Spotify password, after you remove access to the Tesla- then the saved credentials could never log back in and regain access?
This seems to have worked. After playing a few obnoxious songs, the new owner has not accessed my account again. Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing.
Same issue here... and nothing seems to work.
Suffered with the same issue and did the following that seems to have solved the issue:
Hope this solution helps!
Same here. Struggling to find a solution. Any update here?
Hi there,
Same issue here.
I applied the solution provided by @szdori and it looks like it worked !
(unless it's the 2 hours straight "Nyan Cat" song which convinced him idk)
This is a terrible response. the tesla is signed in to spotify. Why can't you restrict access on your end? why even allow tesla to build such a terrible system if you have no control over it? this has been an issue for me for years. You guys need to work with tesla to fix it. Should not be your users' job. I pay good money for your service.
Same thing happened to me. I rented a Tesla, returned it, clicked "Remove access" from Spotify's Manage Apps page, and it keeps coming back. Now strangers keep commandeering my Spotify account. The only thing I can do is force them to listen to an album called "Fart Sounds: Over 1000 Farts (1 Hour)". It's quite funny watching them try to play something else but I keep mashing the play button until they give up.
Having the same issue. Have tried removing access on both my app and the Spotify web page, Signed out of all devices, and changed my password. A Tesla I rented a month ago still has access. Very lame response from Spotify in this support thread. It's YOUR app, YOU should be able to control it. Will definitely cancel my 10+ year subscription if this issue persists. Very annoying.
This works, do this.
Click your profile photo in top right corner => Account (drop down menu) => Manage Apps => Click green "Remove Access" button for Tesla Media Player
