Unknown tracks in my liked songs playlist

I have about 3 songs I know in the Spotify "liked songs". The rest are all unknown and not in any of the genres I EVER listen to.

I thought I might hear some music I liked, but it's all the stuff I don't like.

I will stick to my own playlists.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. We moved your post from an old thread to a new one for visibility, hope you don't mind.

I had a similar situation with my Liked songs playlists some years ago and it was because back in the day (before 2020), when you liked an album, all the songs were added to your Liked song playlists, but this behavior changed after 2020 and it doesn't happen anymore.

So if you have an old account, we'd recommend checking the date when the songs were added. If most of them were from 2019 or before, it's most likely related to how it worked back in the day. If that's the case, you can easily delete them on the Desktop app by opening the Liked songs playlist and using the command CTRL + A (CMD + A on Mac) to select all songs at once. Then you should be able to delete them by pressing the Delete key on your keyboard or right-clicking any song of the selection and selecting the option Remove from your Liked songs. 

However, if the songs were recently added to your Liked songs, we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article to secure your account in case someone else could be using it without authorization.

I wrote the original complaint - similar to Jamulie's. Things are better but it's still has issues. For instance, the categories New Releases for You, Chill and Fans Also Like, which appear on desktop, phone and watch, are full of stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with my playlist and what I listen to. This suggests that what such fundamental information is not considered at all. Importantly, there is no way of marking these as undesired / misrepresentative and never see them again.

In the configuration it also seems that my actual preferences based on what I listen to are not considered in e.g. Show Announcements on New Releases. 

On my phone Spotify seems to, ocassionally, ignore my chosen language as English and suddenly mix in things in Spanish (I live in a Spanish speaking country and do speak the language but that's irrelevant). 

Spotify, please base the above categories and options on what I'm actually listening to.

I forgot to add, the email I get from Spotify also ignores my preferred language.
