Phone: NOKIA Lumia 625
Version: Windows Phone 8.1 Update
Spotify version: Newest (as of April 21st, 2015)
Free space on the phone: ~3.5GB
So there's a bunch of issues with the app. It's been randomly stopping playback every 5-10 minutes on a random whim even when the phone is disconnected from the internet and I'm playing from a downloaded playlist in offline mode. It's been doing that for as long as I can remember, regardless of the settings on my app or my phone apparently. It did slightly improve when I turned the music quality down to normal, but the issue still exists.
From time to time the app has randomly decided to log me out even though I'm in offline mode, and refusing to let me back in until I am connected to the internet again. What gives? I pay for premium for the sole reason of listening to my music on the go, and I do not have internet on my phone deal, I just download my stuff at home through my WiFi. If it dies in the middle of a long trip (has happened more than once) I'm left without anything to listen to for the rest of said trip.
Sometimes it also randomly chooses to give me an error of "playlist not available" even on ones that worked when I left my home - it does this without even logging me out or anything - and then randomly chooses to let me listen to them again after some time has passed or I've reset the phone.
There's also the problem that the app is apparently very crash-prone, even moreso ever since the large UI update a few months ago. Sometimes it crashes when loading a playlist (even in offline mode!), sometimes when I'm searching for music (this of course in online mode with internet access) and sometimes it just randomly chooses to crash, though less often while playing music. I noticed reducing the playlist sizes from 100's of songs to under 50 worked a little bit, but only on the crashiness when loading the playlist.
Since yesterday the app has crashed on me while loading to start up, so I haven't been able to listen to any music, fiddle with my playlists or anything. I tried soft resetting the phone which didn't work, and I reinstalled the Spotify app (a process I did two days ago for the last time, since it KEEPS BREAKING ALL THE TIME) and even that didn't seem to work.
Pretty much every other app on my phone works as per usual. What gives? I pay for Spotify premium exclusively to use my phone as an on-the-road music player with the offline playlists, and it's endlessly frustating dealing with these completely random-seeming issues I can't even choose to avoid by knowing what causes them.
Desktop and PS3 apps both work completely fine, but this WP one is a piece of **bleep**.

Same problem for me : my Spotify app stays on the load screen forever. I've uninstalled it two or three times, but the problem continues... This is VERY disppointing, as I've synchronized nearly 14 gb of music on my phone. Is there a solution to this problem (other than uninstalling one more time and re-downloading several gb of music!)?
That happens with me too. The Windows Phone version is horrible.
I'm in the same situation and pretty close to cancel my premium account. I recenlty switch from Android to WP8.1 and what I can says is that Spotify Windows phone app is a real shame, buggy as hell.
But what bother even more than the hundreds of bugs is that Spotify team NEVER ANSWER to any Windows Phone related question on that board.
So Spotify, please be clair and honest. Says it that you don't give a **bleep** of windows phone users. Please, make your strategy clear so that we can move to another service.
I really love WP but the spotify app makes the experience so **bleep**ing bad for me since I was using the streaming service all the time on my android phone...
Is it really too much to ask to make a decent app for WP?
Really disappointed - its like all other companies are teaming up to make sure Microsoft never gets a chance on the market when they actually make the best phones ans OS lol
Same here! Please address issues above! And be decent enought to post an official reply here...
WP 8.1 - Lumia 735
I'm having the same issues with a lumia 1520, using windows 10 build 15572. Though the problem was already there with 8.1.
Are we ever going to get some feedback. At least tell us you're working on something, you have nothing planned or you need more info?
That you don't care about the platform is one thing, but I'm a premium user, you should at least follow up and make it clear what I can expect!
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
