My Question or Issue
As of recently, whenever I switch between my phone and google home mini or vice versa, whatever playlist I am listening to starts back from the beginning. This happens on regular playlists, a song radio, daily mix etc. It used to pick up where it left off, so it seems like something changed recently.
Im sorry for the video, I got it fixed, it should be accessible now. For the devices it applies to basically everything. In the video in particular happens when Im switching between my phone and PC and reversed. But usually it happens with every device. Every time i reconnect my headphones the spotify queue goes back.

Hey all - whatever update or "fix" that occurred, did NOT work for me. The only thing that has "worked" for me is to just pick a random song in my Liked Songs playlist and start all over when I change devices. I really don't have the time or the patience to create a video lol
Other devices that I use and have noticed this happening are car systems and TVs. I havent tried without shuffling, but I always use the shuffle option, so even if it works without it, its not much of a use to me... So my PC is on windows 10 latest version and my phone is on android and its Samsung S23. Phone version is 9.0.84.1338 and PC is 1.2.74.477.g3be53afe. I haven't tried using another account, because my friends have also complained of this problem, but I guess I will try just in case...

This is still happening. Spend morning listening with my phone and on noon contined on pc app, and playlist crawled to first song played on morning. And swapped back to my phone and playlist jumped back where i started at morning.
This is super annoying.

My Question or Issue
Hello,
Recently I’ve been listening on the same main playlist on shuffle. My issue is that when I close the app and reopen it, the shuffle has gone back to songs it’s already played days ago in the exact same order. I have to scroll all the way down the shuffle queue to pick up where I last left off.
I’m not changing playlists or anything like that. It’s the same playlist everyday. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no change. I have changed playlists and not put them on shuffle and they work fine. It’s only when a playlist is on shuffle. No one else I know is having this issue.
Has anyone else had this issue and/or know how to fix it?
“This issue should now be fixed” not only is this exact issue still happening every day multiple times a day, but after the latest update the app also crashes constantly for no reason. Insane how this relatively simple fix (that already was a problem last year and resolved in a day or two back then) has now been going on for FOUR MONTHS with no progress made. The incompetence is humiliating honestly.

Jump back happens in both playing shuffle and noshuffle, and i'm playing directly from phone or pc. I'm using BL-headset.
I've reinstalled on both phone and pc.
Workaround that i've discovered is on both devices spotify is running, and showing playlist, listen couple songs then swap, and from first device jump couple songs forwad in playlist, then it will stay in current place in list.
But if missed this step it might jump back.
