Hi there @TheWhiffler,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

We've gone ahead and moved your idea to one of our Help boards for now.

Is this happening in one device in particular? If you haven't tested it on other devices, please do so and see how it goes. In the meantime, perform a full clean reinstall of the app on the device you’re using, this can help with a multitude of issues.

Keep us posted!

Hey, yeah have tested it on my iPhone aswell, did it there also.

Thanks for the reply @TheWhiffler!

If possible, could you check if the same thing happens on another network? Do you know if any of the other participants in the Jam are experiencing the same thing?

Also, have you noticed if it happens at any specific points? For example, only when connected to Bluetooth headphone or a speaker.

It would also be great if you could send us a video showing how things look from your end, so that we can have a look as well.

Let us know how you get on.

inverse problem on desktop (win 10) lol after 30 seconds each song restarts. I've always joined a session instead of hosting so maybe that has something to do with it. Would try on Android (pixel 7a) as well but jams stopped working altogether a few months ago

also trying to manually skip to the correct time to accommodate for this also causes the song to restart. trying to change to a specific time always restarts the song for me

Hey @nacnud96,

Thanks for your reply here and for the info shared.

In this case, would you mind sharing with us the exact troubleshooting steps you've followed so far? That way we can avoid repeating any steps.

It's always a good idea to perform a clean reinstall of the app on your devices to see if you notice any difference. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can find out the steps to do it here.

Just to confirm, does this happen if you host the Jam? It'd be awesome if you could check. You can try in both the devices you mentioned to see if you notice any difference.

Lastly, would you mind sending us the exact Spotify version you're running on both devices? We'd like to check: is this happening over WiFi? 3G/4G? Both? Do you notice any difference if you switch the internet connection you're using? Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Keep us in the loop!

Did you ever get a solution to this me and my friend are trying to listen together and whoever isnt hosting gets skipped exactly 30 seconds in without fail.

Hey @car_VRM_52,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

Have you also tried any troubleshooting steps? It's worth doing a clean reinstall on both devices by following the steps @AlejaR mentioned. If you did and the issue persists, please let us know the following:

Does this happen when you skip a song, add one to the queue or manually play one? It'd be great if you can send us a video of what's happening so that we can check. You can try attaching it to your response or if the file's too large - uploading it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.

Let us know how it goes.

Take care
