Why doesn't a playlist come over fully edited?

I have a playlist created with songs that are edited (each song has been cut to about 30 secs each.) However, when it imports into Spotify the full songs are there. I want my edited playlist to play, instead. Any hints?

Let us know if you imported this playlist from your local files. If this is the case, the app looks for similar songs in the catalogue and sometimes they're replaced by the existing songs.

Thank you. Yes, I imported my playlists from iTunes. If it did just look for similar songs in the catalogue, is there a way to edit that? I’m trying to share a playlist with others.
