Since a few weeks ago, I started noticing songs are cut abruptly at the end, to the extend that the last note could be cut and the next song starts playing right away (I mean literally no gap between songs). This is quite annoying to me - I feel I’m being rushed and cannot fully enjoy the songs. Adding a one sec or so break between songs would make the experience much better, which I believe is how Spotify works before. Can you please fix this please?
Hey there @crystalcrystal,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community! We moved your post from Ideas to the help boards as its content fits better here.
It sounds like you might have the Crossfade option active in your app. In this case, we'd suggest heading to your Settings > Playback > Adjust the Crossfade slider to Off.
In addition to this, there's another option called Automix. Although this is for select playlists, you could try toggling it off to see if it makes any difference.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hello. Having the same problem. I don't have cross fade on any I have set it to undo space less time between songs. It's not only doing that, but when it does transition to the next song, it doesn't play any music unless I physically move the slider on my lock screen front page playlist. Then magically there's sound. Also been having a really hard time even getting it to play via data and not Wi-Fi. I have unlimited data and these are areas that I never used to have issues in.
Hey @Lilithet,
Thanks for posting in the Community!
To begin, have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far such as logging out > logging in twice? It sounds a bit strange, but it can help resync your account and device, so do that twice in a row to see if it makes any difference.
Does the issue happen on multiple devices?
Keep us posted.
Having the same problem and logging in and out twicw doesnt work either
Hey @Kjp678,
Have you looked into the Crossfade & Automix settings, mentioned above by @Novy? In case you've missed these, I'd start there 🙂
If your issue remains however, we'd like to know more about it - do all songs cut out abruptly in the end and does this happen across multiple platforms or a single one? In case this affects only a single device - you can try reinstalling the app by following this complete clean reinstall guide.
Hope this helps! We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hey again @Kjp678,
Thanks for the prompt response 🙂
Have you checked if going through all the steps for a clean reinstall makes a difference and have you verified if using a different device would produce the same results? If it's ok for you, we'd like to ask you to share a link to your playlist with us, highlighting which songs are being affected, so that we can take a look from our end.
Many thanks!
