old version of profile showing with different playlists AND followers/following

I've discovered a weird glitch that I can't seem to find any similar cases of.

i was looking at someone's spotify profile (on windows desktop spotify app) and this happened.

i clicked on his profile like normal, then clicked on one of his playlists. after that, i clicked back onto his username (from the playlist screen) to go back to his profile. then suddenly his profile was a bit different. it showed playlists that were not public before and one of the other (pre-existing) playlists had a different cover photo and different name. even weirder, it displayed he has 2 followers (not including me) and 2 following, even though his profile initially said he has 1 follower (me) and 6 following (me + different people).

this is a glitch that I assume is showing an old version of his profile. has this happened to anybody else?

I suspect that the user simply has two separate Spotify accounts. The way profiles work is that It's possible to have other users' public playlists show up on your profile, not just your own, so most likely they had a playlist created by their other (secondary) account linked to the main one.

You can verify this by comparing the links to the individual accounts by clicking the three dots > Copy link to profile. Most likely the URLs will be different.
