"Fans also like" section missing on mobile devices

"Fans also like" section missing on mobile devices

Hey folks,

We've received some reports that the "Fans also like" section is missing under Artists' profile pages. The issue seems to be affecting both iOS and Android users.

This is being investigated.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this.

We’ve checked with our teams and can confirm that this is currently a test. As you may already know, we’re always testing improvements and new features, so you might see something others don't (or vice versa).

We appreciate you all taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it on to the right folks.

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here.

Why would you remove one of spotify’s best features?

Soooo have you passed this along to the "right folks" or y'all too busy taking MORE of our money and ignoring the feedback you were telling us would be listened to?

This feature is still present on the desktop version of the app, but is missing from my Android mobile version. I have a Premium Duo account and my partner still has this feature on her iPhone version of the app.
This is was a heavily used feature for me and one of the main ways that I discovered new artists. If this feature does not return to the Android version there will be no justification in keeping any type of premium subscription, especially since Spotify is raising their premium rates again.
Does Spotify give any shits about this at all? Or are they trying to push users away, because I am not the only one that feels this way.

Pls get this fixed asap, or I'll be cancelling my premium subscription and going back to apple music.  This is a feature that many fans and artists enjoy.  It helps listeners find new bands and artists to be discovered.  Get it fixed or I'm out.

Wow I sure do love being a test subject in a month-long-and-counting experiment with no option to opt-out and no option to voice dissatisfaction other than in the purgatory of this comments section, conveniently out of the sight of users until their frustration leads to a search for some kind of explanation, only to result in a terse and opaque admission of a deliberate "test" as the cause. Feels great, way to go. I should add that the sarcasm in my comment is also a test, and Spotify is the subject, and no, you may not opt out.

Ive moved over to Apple Music after trialling it.

I have to say. Anyone discouraged with this do the same. The sound quality is next level. This feature exists and the general interface is excellent for browsing g and discovering new music.

The related artists/ fans also like section on the Spotify app was a great way to discover new music and made making playlists a lot easier. I really miss this feature

have you received enough feedback to conclude your "test"? And when will this feature be returned to your paying customers?

have you received enough feedback to conclude your "test"? And when will this feature be returned to your paying customers?

What's the timeline on this feature returning considering it's been more than a month and you're paying customers are not getting the full functionality of what we paid for?

Hi everyone, my sub already ended so I am here mostly to notify people. The function is removed purposefully and it is not coming back. The feature is present in every single music streaming service available other than Spotify so I honestly recommend you take this as an incentive to switch. You can use an app called SongShift to transfer your music to a better service. You will NOT get a reply from @Spotify regarding this other than the canned one their bots already provided. Its time to move on and accept that we do not have enough value to Spotify for them to even acknowledge us...

So you make a couple posts about this being a test then decide to ghost your "community" and offer no recourse or timeline for this "test" that is affecting your paying costumers...

Amazing. Amazing customer service.

Just saw this post after wasting the time of support staff. I gave them feedback that this was a terrible idea, was sent here to "vent" probably. This has been a very important tool for me. Please tinker somewhere else, Dev Team!

G, this feature is one of the mail reasons I´m with you guys. Without it, no reason to stay. Who´s behind the wheel over there conceiving these "improvements"

How long does this test go for and can we opt out for these future tests, how this is being justifying as an improvement test is beyond me. I’d like my fans also like section back now please

Wow it the feature finally returned to my phone without any update I noticed. I hope for y'all it returned on your phones as well. That sure was a pain in the a**. Please leave that feature alone, Spotify!

Oh nice one! It returned for me too!

Mines back on my Samsung tablet, need to check my phone in a while, but super pumped!!!

Fans also like section is back!!! Thanks @Spotify !!

Hi there, this has been the case on my band’s Spotify page (BarrelHaus) for a while now. Can this be investigated?
Thanks,

Ian
