Hey, I am a high school student who has been on an individual Premium plan for a year.
My parents would like me to upgrade my account so that they can join Spotify with us all on a Family Plan together - I don't believe there are any issues with this.
However, I will be moving to university in September/October and will change my subscription from the Family Plan to a Student Plan. My parents would then create their own Duo plan.
Is all of this possible without any of us losing any playlists, recommendations etc? Is any of this limited by the restrictions on changing between Family/Duo Plans.
I want to make sure that none of us lose anything in the changes.
Thanks and Happy New Year!

Hey @SophieNatasha ,
Thanks for coming to the Community.
Yes, that should all be possible without any issues 🙂 Since users can switch Duo/Family plans once every 12 months, they would also be able to leave the Premium Family plan later and get started with Premium Duo.
Hope this helps and Happy New Year too 🙂
Hey @SophieNatasha,
Thanks for reaching out and Happy New Year!
We just wanted to add that switching from a Premium Family member subscription to a Premium Student one involves reverting your account to free, which will remove the music downloaded for offline listening. You can however re-download it once you start the new subscription.
We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
