Family Plan for Travelers

Hello I signed up for a family account for my boyfriend who lives with me in Toronto, Canada. However, he travels a lot and spends a lot of time in LA, where he is currently visiting his family. The family spotify account I just signed us up for is not working and he gets an error message when he puts our Toronto address in. Any suggestions? I only signed up for this account so we could both use it.
