How can I turn off a child's access to video

I want to stop my child being able to access video, youtube etc on their Spotify profile. I have a family plan.

@MartinT We know there isn't an option - thats why we're complaining. Fix the app and pretend you care about kids even a little bit.

You noticed your have no likes. With all due respect, if you're a Moderator, shouldn't you be pushing this up the flag pull?  Instead of stating that this feature doesn't exist?  It has been sent to Spotify's Idea board, but it's not being taken seriously after countless requests.

That is EXACTLY the same frustration that we have!!! And I came back to this forum to look if it finally changed in a suitable way to restrict it to audio... but it does not look like... Or have you found a solution?

Agree. I just started using Apple Music instead, but as soon as Spotify fix this I'll probably come back.

Give us an option to turn off video and podcasts completely.

Hi Maxim, thank you for taking the time to respond. My child is 14 - I still do not want them to be able to watch mindless drivel on Spotify and I am not referring to Canvas. So in short this does not help as no solution is available. Please do not close this thread, as this has not solved the problem. Thanks.

100 percent. So I sent this to their idea board twice. Just out what they
replied with twice...

A totally rediculous answer. Unacceptable and proves they have zero intent
on listening to their elite paying clients. When in the end it will bring
more profit!


My solution is beyond clear and breaks none of their rules or effects
pricing as they are claiming.

I'm so upset about this. I guess the only way for Spotify to really understand our concern is to unsuscribe.

What a shame, I loved this app for years and I'm about to leave because they want to brainwash my kids.

No solution. in fact I sh mitted to the dev team aka "idea board" they removed the idea within minutes stating it violated procedure because I used the short form section first regarding tiered pricing with options. 

Absolutely insanity.  I'll spread it on X to the CEO. I suggest everyone does the same

Ik begrijp niet dat dit op Spotify zit. Ik probeer mijn kinderen enigzins af te schermen van tiktok, youtube, instagram etcetera. En nu begrijp ik dat ze hele dagen video podcasts kunnen kijken omdat ik "muziek" en dus spotify niet had beperkt met schermtijd. Waarom is dit niet voor spotify familie middels een wachtwoord of iets dergelijks volledig af te schermen?
