How do I gift spotify for family, when I already have premium and won't be part of family package?

I have Spotify Premium on my own account and I want to gift Spotify premium for family to my wife and two children. Please can someone help me do this it seems as so I am having no luck so far.  I have followed the relevant instructions so far but all I get is a page where the only option is to gift to a single person.

Do you not want to be a part of the plan? That would save you some money. 😉

You can upgrade at https://spotify.com/family and then you can invite your family members by following the instructions from this support article: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/premium_for_family/premium-for-family/.

Thanks but that doesnt work as my plan is free through a spotify partner so i dont want and cant do anything through my acciunt. Any other ideas?

You could..

1. give them the money to start a Premium for Family plan
2. gift a individual Premium subscription to each family member

Thanks. I guess I'll have to go with first option,  but seems like bit of a fail by Spotify that they can't offer a way to buy premium for family as a gift.
