My Question or Issue
We use sonos speakers, we are having issues playing different music on different speakers(other rooms) especially with alexa. Anybody has a suggestion?

Thanks for your questions.
Right now Spotify should work well when each member of the family has their own Amazon account linked to their own Spotify account in order to be able to listen to Spotify on their respective devices.
Here are the instructions on how to link each Spotify account to its respective Amazon account.
Or you could try creating an Amazon Household which allows you to have multiple profiles in the same account, and you can link your Spotify account to your own Household profile and use the smart speaker you want, even if someone else is using another one in the house.
Lastly you can give the command - "Alexa, Spotify Connect" to the specific speaker and follow the instructions that follow.

Keep in mind that one account can only be used on one device at a time. Also note that some connections require Premium. You can check this page for supported devices and what's available to you.
We recommend to check your Alexa app to see whether you are connected over the same Spotify account on multiple speakers. This could be the cause of the issue. You will find detailed instructions on how to do this here.
If that doesn't fix things could you explain in a little bit more detail when the connection to your speakers doesn't behave properly? You can also post screenshots of any error messages that pop up so we can take a closer look. You can use the Insert Photos option in the post editor to do this, just be sure to hide any personal or sensitive information.

With respect you are missing the point. Different family members WILL want to play different music on different speakers in the house. Surely you can see why you need to change your policies to make this happen.
Like youths other folks posting I am utterly amazed that Spotify has not fixed such a blindingly obvious requirement people will have with a family membership. Family will of course have different age groups who will want to listen to different music on different devices. The growth of Smart speakers is huge. We have 4 in our household.
Come on Spotify are you really going to stop people in the same household listening to different music on different speakers in the house. This is sheer madness!! We don’t want to mess around connecting phones and downloading music because we are forced to try off-line mode. As the others have said, your competitors have cracked it. I have always seen Spotify leading the innovation, not lagging behind and failing to keep up with music trends. Please get this sorted.

Note that with Premium Family all accounts that are members of the plan are able to play music on their own account on different devices. If you're not able to do this, it's possible that more than one person is logged in to the same Spotify account. You can set this straight by logging out and back in.

With the sonos app we are able to select different family members account and play different music, the ‘’caveat’’ is when using alexa to start playing music. Hopefully things will keep improving🤞🏻

I had to leave Spotify for Apple Music for the same reason that was mentioned below. My whole family uses Alexa over Sonos to play music, and in many different rooms. We need the ability to start multiple streams from Alexa. This doesn't work if we have to go into the Sonos app and manually select defferent accounts. It breaks the whole flow.
Let me know if Spotify has plans to change this anytime soon. If so, we'll be back.
