Members of family plan account doesn't show up as premium?

Members of family plan account doesn't show up as premium?

I recently set up the family plan for me and my parents and also added them through the link. However, their accounts still show up as free accounts, with zero premium benefits. They can't download music and still get ads. We've tried everything from logging out and back in to reinstalling the app, nothing works. Their emails are verified too.

Hey @triw, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Can you make sure that these members are listed on your Premium Family dashboard? If you do not find any members there, I would recommend inviting all of the members following these steps.

 

If you see members there and their corresponding emails - send me a screenshot of one of the member's screens when you try to access a Premium feature (skipping, no-ads, etc) and I will take a closer look. Make sure to hide sensitive info when posting to the Community.

I got the same problem. I tried to add my son. Though I invited him and he accepted in the app, he stays on the free account.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in just to add something important here! If you've already made sure that those members are listed on your Premium Family dashboard as suggested by @Billy-J, it's possible that the users may be logged in to a different account by mistake.

 

In this case, we'd recommend to the affected members looking for a secondary account by following the steps mentioned in this post to find the one joined to the Premium plan. If the account joined is the wrong one, we'd recommend removing it from your plan and inviting the user again by following these steps and making sure they are using the credentials of the correct account this time.
