Play from multiple systems with family subscription

My husband and I have a premium family account. When we each try to play music at different locations at at the same time, Spotify says it can only play from one account at a time. Is there a way that we can each listen to our own music on different (sonos) systems?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this however the family premium plan works with upto 5 separate accounts and by the sounds of it you are both using the same account but on the family plan.

I would recommend for one of you to create a new account and for the other person to send a family invite to the other person to allow you to have seperatepremium accounts. This way you can play your own music and set your own playlists.

We have separate accounts; when we each go into our phone, under 'Your Library' my username shows up on mine, and his on his.

He is the administrator. Is there a change we need to make to the accounts?

normally, it should allow everyone to play their own songs on their own device. Have your perhaps tried to uninstall the software from both devices then reinstalling it? Also, if there is another device which you are logged in on it can also be the issue as it may be playing music etc. Going to www.spotify.com and going to the account settings will allow you to see which devices are connected.
