Switching from one family plan to another?

My cousin recently started a family plan and wanted me to join, however I had my own family plan that was active. I cancelled the active family plan and click to accept my cousin's invitation to join his family plan but comes up with an error page saying I can't join the premium for family because

"Sorry! You're already a member of this (or another) Family plan. Please click below to switch to the account that you want to join to the Family plan."

What do I do? Or do I have to wait for my current family plan to end on the date of renewal then join my cousin's family plan?

That's right, you'll have to wait until your current subscription has ended before you can join his plan 🙂
