Trying to add a member to my family plan but getting “address is to genera”

Hi, I have been trying to add a member to my family plan, but I keep getting an error saying the address is too general, it is the exact same address that I am registered with, I can even select it as an option but then it hits me with that error. I’ve tried using a different phone, then tried on a pc using chrome and Microsoft edge browsers and I’ve also tried it on incognito mode. I already have one other member linked and a kids account linked too. Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks for reaching out.

In such case, the manager of the Premium Family plan should update the address that is being used for it. Make sure that it's a bit more detailed/specific when entering it for the plan. 

It's also recommend to double-check the exact street name and number.

When entering an address on the Spotify site, you should generally also be able to enter it manually, instead of taking a suggested one.

Once the address of the plan was updated, it's best to send a new invite out. Hopefully it'll work then 🙂

My Question or Issue

I sent the invite to a family member and when they try to activate the account during the address validation step they constantly get the same error: "address to general" even though they are filling in the correct address as stated into the main account.

Please let me know hot to fix this.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. It doesn't help though. I already have 2 members of the family who managed to connect without issues, it is this last one who keep hitting this error wall. 
When I go the option to change the address, as the administrator of the account, it also says that all already connected members of the family will have to validate again their address and, to be honest, I don't want to risk disconnecting the other two as well and not being able to re-connect them back due to this error.
Is there any other option?

Sorry to see you've been having issues with the address verification!
Have you tried using a different device for the account that's getting the error?
Make sure there are no VPN services enabled on it.
