What happens with my DE vouchers when I switch my account to a Family Maintainer Account?

I found no information what happens when I switch my account to a Family Maintainer Account?
At the moment my german spotify individual account is topped up a balance that is enough for about 18 months. What happens when I switch my individual account now to a family account? Did I got 12 month of family account or is my balance gone?

Thanks for coming to the Community.

When you upgrade from Premium Individual to Premium Family, any remaining Individual time will be converted into Family time. Due to the price difference, this can bring your next payment date a bit forward.

Conversely, this means that I can now redeem the German Spotify gift cards I still have from my last birthday under “Individual” and don't have to worry about the money being gone, right?

Someone on Reddit wrote that their credit from their Individual account was frozen, and another even said that their credit was destroyed. Both are customers from Europe.

I just checked this internally for you. You cannot switch from Individual, which was paid for with gift cards, to Family or Duo.
