i was looking at the information about a family plan and it mentions that it is location based. does this mean that i can't play music offline and on the go?

Yes, with the Premium Family plan, you are able to download albums, playlists, and podcasts for listening offline; and you can read more about the differences between Spotify Premium and Spotify free plans in this support article. Bear in mind that the Premium Family plan requires that all members of the plan reside at the same address.

yes but am i able use spotify on the go as well? like if i was in the
car and driving to the city and i have some music downloaded on
spotify on a family premium plan can i still listen to music in the
car?

Yes, once you’re part of the Premium Family plan, you’re able to listen to music anywhere – for example, in the car or across the globe. You can also listen offline when you don’t have internet connection.
