Can't switch from Family Plan to Student Plan even though I am verified.

Can't switch from Family Plan to Student Plan even though I am verified.

After verification, I choose Student Plan but says I am not eligible. I currently have the Family Plan and am the manager so that may have something to do with it.

Hey there,

 

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community. No worries - help's here 🙂 

 

You mentioned that you have active Premium Family subscription and you're the manager of the plan. In order to switch to Premium Student, you'll need to cancel your existing Premium and wait until your account reverts to free.  You can do that by logging in to your account page > Under Your plan >  click CHANGE PLAN > scroll to Spotify Free and click CANCEL PREMIUM.

 

Once your account is on free, you will be able to subscribe to Premium Student.  Don't forget that you'll have to verify your student status as well. If you have trouble with the verification, we'd suggest checking this page out.

 

Another important thing to note is that when you cancel - all members of your existing Family Plan will also revert to the free, ad-supported service at the end of your current billing cycle.
