spotify student google home

I am currently signed up with a Spotify Premium Student package which is linked to several google home devices. When i ask google to play a song it says that choosing songs or albums is only available to premium packages.

It says that the student package is the same as the normal premium package?

Thanks for reaching out.

The Premium Student subscription does indeed offer the same benefits as the Individual one, so if you're getting this error message, you've most probably connected a free account to your Google Home app. Can you please double check this and let us know the result?
