AI Music

AI Music

Hi, my name is Timon De Vreese or WavingT on Spotify, I make music with Suno AI, I have 15 years of music experience. I play keyboards, keytar, trumpet.

I want to talk about the mass spamming and deletion of AI music producers/songs. As you may know, low quality music spam (abusers) have been banned. Bc some people put very low effort into songs just to have a song with some time, to get royalty. It's not like they are gaining much of it. You still need to become popular, and with low quality music, it aint happening.

Well, you know, not all people are like this.

I got banned sort of(only on spotify) I think that is undeserved, also I feel like this is just stealing my money...
The reason why.: I have a job and make music for fun, however I pay for it to let people listen to it. I put serious hours a day into this just for community, avg. 1 song a month.
I start over when it doesn't sound good. I keep overhearing everything, I make sure it's fun and good to listen to. It makes literally no sense that I got banned aswell.

So I would appreciate it if they stop stealing my money, and unban me. I put as much time and effort as artist of normal music. This was like a genuine boost for peace and hobby for me, also I have like 1.20 dollars in withdrawal in TuneCore, its not even enough to withdraw that money bc it needs 2 dollars for sending.

My solution, give ai music a tag ai generated. Or give a time-out to people who post to much at the same time. 1 song a month isnt too much. By the way, people really enjoyed my music. Even if it is AI, if it sounds good, it sounds good, I do not spam.

Kind regards,
De Vreese Timon

Hey @WavingT ! Welcome to the Spotify Community šŸ™‚

In this case, I think it's best if you talk directly to Spotify Support, on this channel. They don't take long to respond.

Hi,
So I did that and they said it's probably a bug because on their phone/pc/web version (of spotify) they can listen to it and see all my songs. Wich is weird because I/my family/friends can't listen to it on the desktop app, everything else works tho. So update didn't go through yet? I don't really know, don't quite like it tho, but I'm sure they will fix it.

However, I still think that my point in my first message is kind of right. I'm sure there are people out there, who put a lot of time into their work and it might have gone deleted, meanwhile they pay usually more for spotify than that they are gaining.

Kind regards,
De Vreese Timon

Hey again!

It may be that a clean reinstall of your Spotify can solve your issue.

You can check out how to do this in this link:

Already done, it's fixed now, I think they resetted my account. It's okay. Thanks anywayysss.

I agree with the AI tagging. Not to downplay the "prompt engineering" side of using AI to create, edit, cover, music but, as someone who does use AI like SUNO for fun, I do not want AI generated music in my suggested feeds. While I believe AI has its place, I do not want to be unknowingly supporting "prompt engineers" versus musicians. As a musician I believe our commodity has been incredibly devalued over the years and the art of playing instruments and signing is getting lost in the technology.. I recently found a "verified artist" on my spotify discover weekly playlist who I know puts out only AI remakes of songs (i've seen this on his social media) in a different genre than the original. I am happy with a AI tag so I know the music is AI generated, but this artist was listed as a "Verified Artist".
