Browse Tab went gone?

Just after i downloaded the app i enjoyed a lot the feature of the "browser" tab, but after 10 hours the tab didn't appear. Is this a bug or how do i make it appear again on the menu bar? Thanks, i already bought the premium account by the way

Edit: Adjusting title and tags so post appears in search easily.

I have reinstalled, logged out. etc and nothing it doesnt show it only shows up with the spotify:app:browse but i dont want to type that all the time i want. this is the only reason i'd keep paying premium because is a great feature.

Please what else can i do?

Using Spotify Colombia.

Now I remembered how I fix that. I changed my country to USA (using a VPN), next I changed the language to english and the browse button appeared!

Later i get back to my country and language

Hey! I ask for the guys from support to change my country to Brazil (which I am right now),and now the "Browse/Navegar" tab have gone :( The only way to access this feature in by "Tuningo App" inside the Spotify, but have to type the address all time that I want to see new recomendations of albums and singles it sucks :\ Someone of the official support already have some solution to this question? Take care and have a very good week 😉

I still have not Browse option in my Windows version of Spotify (version 0.9.8.195, with the new design). I do have the browse option in my Android client and at the play.spotify.com player. I tried reïnstalling (with Revo Uninstaller, to make sure nothing is left behind); I tried logging off and on again but nothing helped. Is this still a problem at the moment? I hope you can help me.

What country are you in?

Oh I'm truly sorry, forgot to mention that! I am living in the Netherlands. I just installed spotify on another computer by the way, and here I also don't have browse.

Going to ask someone to look into this for you.

Hi Tommy,

Could you let us know if you see the Browse feature when using our web player?

Hi Jamie,

First of all, thank you all for helping me! The webplayer shows browse just fine. On android, I am also able to see and use browse. On the Windows client however, it does not show up on the left side.

For me,the problem was fixed 😜

I have deleted all files of Spotify from my computer, and I reinstalled the program again, and now the "Browser tab" is available again on the Spotify Desktoip Version, thanks so much guys! 😉

Have a nice weekend for all here,Greetings from Brazil 😄

Thanks for letting us know @top20fanatico . 🙂

If anyone else is still having issues, it might be worth a(nother) clean reinstalltion including removing all Spotify files after you uninstall to see if that makes any difference?

Hi, I've been missing "browse" button since I changed my country (I had premium from US gift card). Now I have premium in Czech Republic (since spotify is here). Browse button isn't visible for me now at web app, Mac, iPad ... But "spotify:app:browse" is working. I tried to reinstall it but it looks like account bug. Thank you for solving this.

I am using the Spotify linux preview and the browse tab is non-existent as seen in the attached picture.

Hey there @jram0421! Welcome to the community! 🙂

  • Try logging out of the Spotify client then back in and see if that works.
  • If you type "spotify:app:browse" in the search box does it show up?
  • Does it show on the web player?
  • Do you have the latest version of Spotify for Linux?
  • Are you in a country that Spotify has officially launched in? Or are you abroad? Are you using a proxy or VPN?

It works in web player. I installed the latest version and this is happening on both of my laptops. I'm in the USA so there shouldn't be any problems.

Also I've tried logging out and it does show in the web client

Are both laptops running linux? Have you had "Browse" on linux before? I believe, browse is still in the works to getting on the Linux

Both are running Ubuntu 13.10 and I've had it running on this laptop before but it disappeared

Hmm. Interesting. Does a reinstall of Spotify make it come again?

@Peter__ said in another thread two weeks ago: "Browse was added to the sidebar in v0.9.6, unfortunately the linux version is still on v0.9.4 which is why it doesn't appear in your sidebar.

Accessing via spotify:app:browse in the search box is all I can suggest for now."

I'm guessing it's a bug right now with Ubuntu.

Yeah it is a weird one, the fact it used to appear for you. That was the answer when I queried it in the past, hopefully it will be fixed in the next linux release (whenever that may be!).

As @Merik mentioned, searching for the tab should still load it.
