Subject: Feedback and Issues with Spotify App

Dear Spotify Support Team,

I am writing to provide feedback on some issues I've encountered with the Spotify app, based on my experience and some additional insights gathered from the Android Police website.

1. Audio Quality:
- The app often defaults to lower audio quality based on the internet connection. This automatic adjustment sometimes results in unsatisfactory audio experiences. Manually setting the audio streaming quality to "Very High" resolves this, but it would be more user-friendly if the app maintained a consistent high-quality stream by default or provided clearer guidance on how to adjust these settings.

2. **Spotify Error Code 17**:
- Error Code 17 appears to be a persistent issue, typically caused by incomplete removal of previous installations before updates. This results in software conflicts. Uninstalling Spotify and manually deleting the installation folder usually fixes this, but it would be helpful if the app's installation process included a more thorough cleanup of previous versions to prevent this issue.

3. **Spotify Premium Features and Download Issues**:
- There have been instances where premium features, such as offline song downloads, do not work. Logging out and back in often resolves this, but it’s inconvenient. Users need to ensure they log in with the correct account, particularly if they have linked their Facebook account. Additionally, clarifying the 10,000-song download limit and the five-device limit within the app could help users manage their downloads more effectively. An option to easily view and manage connected devices directly within the app would be beneficial.

4. **Local Songs and Playlists**:
- The process for playing local songs has changed, requiring users to navigate through the Settings menu to add local files. While this works, the previous drag-and-drop method was more intuitive. Improving the visibility and ease of adding local files would enhance user experience.

5. **Missing Playlists**:
- Users sometimes cannot find their playlists due to accidental deletion. While the "Recover Playlists" feature on the website is helpful, incorporating this functionality directly into the app would streamline the recovery process.

6. **Random Sign-Outs**:
- Sporadic sign-outs can occur if someone else uses the user's login credentials. Encouraging users to reset their passwords and promoting the Spotify Family Plan for those sharing accounts could mitigate this issue.

7. **Ad Concerns**:
- While not detailed in the original feedback, ads on the free version can sometimes be repetitive or intrusive. Balancing ad frequency and variety could improve the experience for free-tier users.

Overall, I appreciate the functionality and features Spotify offers, but addressing these issues would greatly enhance user satisfaction. Thank you for your attention and support.

Best regards,

[Batchu Obed]
