Hey, I’m looking to connect with other users with obscenely large libraries. I’m interested to see how many people have really taken advantage of the 10,000 song cap being lifted. How many “Liked Songs” are in your library? Anyone else in 7 digits? Can anyone top…..
I have a little over 100k
How do you get so many? Are you just adding everything you see just so you can get a larger number of songs? Is there a method? I like to collect music organically and not add songs I don’t like to my library but I want to be able to find music quickly so idk.
i don’t add every song i see but i’m not very critical with what gets liked, id say as long as it’s better than average maybe a 6 or 7/10 it’ll get liked. I listen to many many genres and the biggest way i got so many songs was digging deep into one genre and listening to popular artists’ discography, so for example if i have an itch to listen to soul id go on rym and see marvin gaye is pretty well reviewed and listen to some of his albums and then maybe a few other people and so on. another way is just listening to my favorite artists discography even if it’s hundreds of songs, an example would be the cure i’ve heard pretty much everything on spotify including live albums. lastly i listen to my discover weekly every single week pretty much no matter what and i find plenty of good music there. also before i had very many liked songs my daily mixes used to give me a lot of new music, not so much anymore. hope that helps. btw i hit 24k because i got back into discovering music through this thread
Oh thanks I pretty much do all that I guess I just add less or listen to less music than you because I’m only at 6k
you could also try listening to an album from the 1001 albums you should listen to before you die list, i do that as well
Ok wow you have so many songs! I have 5686. Thats crazy tho, and I thought I had a lot **bleep** ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
i hit 25k yesterday! also here’s a screenshot from 2022 where i had 20k, this thread got me back into discovering music thanks guys
Literally last month celebrated 16K, now 300 tracks more. I recommend to listen all the suggestions Spotify gives you. I found out AI generated dailylist is one source of amazing finds and Discover Weekly. As well I just surf, much like browsing, in Spotify to find new likes. I plan to have over 20 000 songs at least next year if not this year alone. When you are in a hurry and there is no time to Queue, I have a tip for you. Just make playlist Listen later and add tracks here.
I just empty this list when i have time one or few tracks at a time. Nothing gets lost and everything gets listened.
On the other hand you have always something to listen.
When listening, it is important to hear each detail, for that I have studio headphones.
Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 Ohm. For the price I paid, amazing cans and bass will not disappoint you at all.
There is only two things I like in life, listening to hard dance music and mountain biking listening same hard dance music 😄 These are two hobbies I am willing to spend, quality devices, earpods or headphones, mobile phones, mountain bike accessories etc.
On other things I spend if needed, but as low as possible. You better invest in pair of headphones than a shiny trip to Maldives.
I have about 0.111111111 of a fraction compared to this. Just how long did it take him to get all of this???
Just did some math.. I would take me about 133 years to reach the millions. Yeah, I expected better. Right now I only got 540. But I’ve only been on the app for about 2 years
I have 782 songs I like isn't that cool?
I have 11,010 songs in my liked
Hi DWTish, I'd very much like to increase my Liked Songs playlist near your level.**bleep**
I have almost 18000 liked songs and im pretty proud of how connected i stay with my music while it still can feel fresh and new.
Literally what's the point in 3000 playlists, "oh let me look for that one specific mood playlist! finally found it! took me 3 **bleep**in hours". I have 6k liked songs and I've got like 30 playlists, 15 of them are complete and most of them are specific genres. Same goes with the 1'000'000 liked songs the other guy has, literally, what's the point? I get you like the songs you, well, like, but I bet the guy only knows off the head like maximum 4000 of them from the song name. It's just a measurement of dicks, ''oh look I've got a MILLION liked songs, look how cool I am!''. Waste of time and waste of any order. Am I wrong? I guess it take it seriously.
Of course it's just liking every song. A song is about 3.20 minutes, million of them make's it about 6 whole years of just music. You think he listened to music for 6 years in his life? He's probably about 28 years old, I mean it's just impossible. Also, what are the chances he actually LIKED all of the songs?? It's just a stupid **bleep** measurement, oh I have this much liked songs, I'm better, just miserable really. Reminds me of the cookie game where you just click, click and click, ''Look how much I clicked!!!! I'm so cool", it's really just miserable. Just a stupid accomplishment, at least a sense of it, that's more accurate. An actual accomplishment would be to create great and fully completed playlists, 10-20hours long, nothing but the best, not just throw in whatever qualifies (vibe, same genre, oh same artist, oh! similiar lyrics). Yes of course you need to listen to a lot of songs to find the best, the more you've heard, usually the better music you know. But not if you just like everything non-stop. I saw someone say they've got 3000 playlists haha. What are you going to do with 3000 playlists??? "Oh right let me look for that ONE playlist that would be just PERFECT right now (after 2 hours you found it), FINALLY! ''Drinking Venezuelan coffee, while reading a book about Greek philosophy as I scratch my ass, not forgetting it's raining". Nothing sorted, nothing great, just pure ass. Worst thing about it is that the playlists like that ALWAYS have like 6 songs in them. If more, then the playlist just deviates into a non accurate vibe playlist. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe, actually, definitely, I take it quite seriously. Whatever the case is, I hope it wasn't torture to read this. Actually, I don't care. Oh, and personally I have like 30 playlists, most are about genres, about 12 of them are perfected, and I've got 6000 liked songs. Best regards.
what an unhappy person
Have you run into any issues or struggles? My playlist/like songs is at 400,000+ and I have recently been having troubles with it. It won't play on any of my devices (Phone, Laptop, or iPad) and it's starting to crash my Spotify app every time I let it load. Have any recommendations or personal experience that could maybe help with this?
LOL I ONLY HAVE 1,633! your WILD!
I have, currently, just shy of 7,000 liked songs
