changing layouts constantly

Add the option to switch between layouts without forcing a new one with an update. The new one is terrible to look at and I hate it constantly changing, without giving me any choice. I deal poorly with change and it’s very upsetting when I go to use an app I use frequently just to see it’s switched to a completely different layout, that doesn’t improve anything, and i never even got the chance to keep the one I liked. This has been an issue for years and it’s very frustrating.
