My Question or Issue

Is Spotify making is so that 3rd Party music servers have to use 'Connect' or is the API going to remain open so the 3rd party can dive in deeper like searching, liked music and everything else?

I'm not sure I completely follow your question. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "3rd Party music servers" ? Our APIs are open and enable use cases like search, library management, playlist management and much more.
