API question: incorrect popularity ratings

Hello everyone,

 

we use the Spotify API for an internal project that allows us to build playlists - the values for the popularity of the artist and the track come from Spotify. What we noticed very quickly: the same artist often receives different popularity values (see screenshot). The popularity is given from 0 to 100, with 100 being the highest value.

Those values are track popularity; not artist popularity.

The documentation is also outdated.

Now, you can only get the artist popularity through the Get Artist(s) endpoints.

thanks for our reply! The values should be indeed showing the artits popularity, the track popularity is next to it (sorry, I've made another screenshot, the first did not show it). 

 

Thanks for the tip with the endpoints. I'll suggest this to our developer!
