Adding effects on Spotify's Web playback API

Hello there! I want to create a non-profit application for personal use that utilizes the Spotify API to play music in a web browser and apply effects to the tracks, such as adding reverb. However, I understand that this is not permitted under Spotify's permission policy

Is there any possibility that the Spotify Team might grant me permission to do this?

you could write a proposal that clearly explains your app's purpose and how it benefits the Spotify community. Emphasize that it's a non-profit project, and highlight how it aligns with Spotify's mission to enhance the listening experience for its users. Be sure to include:

  • Your app's unique features and how they add value to Spotify's platform.
  • The target audience you aim to reach and how your app will engage them.
  • Any previous experience or projects you've worked on that demonstrate your technical skills and understanding of audio processing.

also there is also a set up for a dev account available
  • Sign up for a Spotify Developer account on their official website.
  • Provide essential details about your non-profit organization and the app's purpose.
  • Once your developer account is active, apply for premium access to the Spotify API.
  •  Prepare a compelling explanation of your app's benefits to the Spotify community, highlighting its non-profit nature and user value.

    Good luck with your app

What's the email where I can send a proposal?
