I just went through a two hour chase attempting to block a user that had stalked/abused me and then blocked me on Spotify (blocked users can still view your profile and I was worried about her stalking me). I eventually was able to reach out to the incredibly nice and kind Spotify Support, who were able to help me block the user.
Essentially, what happens is that when you block a user, they're not able to view your profile page at all, and you can't block them in return. I was able to block them through Support, but I will never be able to unblock them (not that I want to) because of the inability to load the page of the person you blocked on Spotify. Because we both did this, it's a catch-22. I feel that Spotify could simply curtail this by doing what Instagram does and just showing a black user. Even more, there should be a path for this in Spotify's API but there isn't. If we can follow and unfollow users, I think that block/unblocking users show be implemented.
