My Question or Issue

Hello,

I build a React app using Spotify API and Playback SDK installed on my Raspberry, which is connected to speakers.

The player works great, and I can control it from my phone (logged in with the same accounts). Now, I'd like my girlfriend (who has her own premium account) to be able to enter "my session" when she is also connected to the same network.

I am looking for some documentation to enable this "Multi-user device" or "Group session on speaker" feature. (see image attached) I've only found this : https://support.spotify.com/us/article/group-session-on-speaker/

Any idea to get some information?

Thank you!

Have you tried using Raspotify?

My React app doesn't use Raspotify, only Spotify API and SDK.

Okay, but the web API doesn't have group session functionality.

So how Raspotify has this feature working? They must have used the Web Playback SDK

Raspotify uses Librespot, and that reverse engineered how Spotify Connect works.

Would Spotify be easier to implement into a html/react front dev, than Livrespot?
