How to identify a track's genre in spotify api?

Solved!

How to identify a track's genre in spotify api?

I am referring this particular documentation. "https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/get-track"
The sample response has the genre of a song. But the "Try it" option does not give me the expected response with "Genre"

The Spotify API can access genres for artists, not for individual tracks or albums. Edit: changed the text now tracks have genres

The Get Artist(s) endpoint provides genres.

Hi @Ximzend,

Thanks for the immediate response. I am looking for a track's (song's) genre. An artist can produce multiple genre music. What i am looking for is a song's genre.

Thanks for the information.
The sample response has the Genre information of a track. If Spotify has updated the Apis then it should consider updating the documentation as well.

So, can u actually get the genre of a track?
How can u do it?

You can't. Only of the artist(s) of the track.
