Is there a way to disable the buttons on the Spotify banner?

Hi!

We have an app that used the old Spotify SDK to stream music, and are now migrating to the new SDK.

Our app tries to do playlist curation itself, and as such we want people to use the next/previous buttons in our app. However with the new SDK we have not been able to disable the next button on the banner, and it is therefore possible for a user to press the next button on the banner and play a new track from Spotify, rather than the track we want them to hear next.

Is there either a way to disable the next button on the banner, or a workaround to allow us to control what the next track will be if they press next on the banner?

Hi @b_m_, welcome to the community. Have you considered creating a new playlist and then starting playback of the playlist? Another option to look at might be our Web API endpoint for adding items to the queue.
