Is there any way to sort artist's genres by popularity or get how many songs of each genre has?

I've been developing an app that involves artist's genres. When I make the request to get the genres from a specific artist, i got in return an alphabetically sorted array of the genres. My main problem is that, in most of the cases, there's one genre that the artist maybe made one song of, but is not their main genres, so I want to remove it from the array.

I've tried to use the external api from last.fm to get the tags of any single song of an artist, then compare the genres provided by spotify to all the tags and clear the tags that doesn't match and it kinda works, but for artist that are not so popular, it returns nothing, so it's not an option

 So, is there any way to sort artist's genres by popularity or maybe sort from the most used genre to the less?
