My Question or Issue:

Hello Spotify Developer Team,

I am a final-year Information Science and Engineering student and recently built an independent project called "Spotify Playlist Transfer Manager" using the Spotify Web API.

The application allows users to:

โ€ข Authenticate with Spotify
โ€ข Browse playlists
โ€ข Transfer tracks between playlists
โ€ข Detect duplicate tracks
โ€ข Create playlists
โ€ข Organize playlist content

The project was built for educational and portfolio purposes using React, TypeScript, FastAPI, SQLite, OAuth 2.0, and the Spotify Web API.

Before publicly promoting the project, I would like clarification regarding Spotify's Developer Policy and branding requirements.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Whether it is acceptable to showcase this project on LinkedIn, GitHub, and my portfolio website.

  2. Whether I may state that the project uses the Spotify Web API.

  3. Whether there are specific branding, attribution, trademark, or logo usage requirements I should follow.

  4. Whether there are any additional recommendations for students and independent developers showcasing Spotify-integrated projects.

The project is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially associated with Spotify.

Thank you for your guidance.

Hi @HiteshSurya

Thank you for posting in the Spotify Community and Welcome!

It is nice to hear you chose to use the Spotify API for for one of your final assignments.

For the finale steps, I recommend you to go through the Compliance Tips. Especially the Design & Branding Guidelines you asked for.

Note: since Quota Modes were introduced, apps made by individuals (not part of an well established organisation) are limited to up to 5 authenticated white-listed Spotify users.

I hope this helps. Let me known if you need anything else.
