Popularity field missing in Get Track API response

My Question or Issue

I am using the Spotify Web API endpoint:

GET /v1/tracks/{id}

to fetch track details. However, I am not consistently receiving the popularity field in the response for some tracks.

Hi @GametuneDigital12, The availability of the popularity field depends on when your app was created. 

- If your app was created after February 6, 2026 in development mode, certain fields including popularity were restricted as part of the platform changes announced here: https://developer.spotify.com/blog/2026-02-06-update-on-developer-access-and-platform-security

- If your app was created before February 6, you should still have access to the popularity field
