Repeated API changes are breaking third-party integrations

Hello Spotify Team,

I’m writing to ask you to stop making undocumented changes that break third-party integrations.

These repeated changes cause unnecessary failures for users who rely on stable authentication and playback integrations outside the official Spotify apps. A predictable, documented, versioned API with clear deprecation notices would prevent this.

My request is simple:

• Avoid undocumented breaking changes.

• Keep authentication and playback interfaces stable.

• Announce deprecations in advance.

• Respect legitimate third-party use cases.

I’m a paying customer, and I expect the service to remain usable with standard integrations.
