My Question or Issue

Hi, I  would like to bring it to your notice that authorization flow is broken for login with phone number. It throws this error - Missing client id. Well, the same piece of code works with log in with email or Facebook. I was able to replicate the issue on this web app (based on Spotify API) - http://sortyourmusic.playlistmachinery.com/

Also, I faced the same issue on a Spotify API based project I am working on currently.

Kindly find the attachment and fix the issue with authorization flow.

Hey Folks,
I also faced the same issue while working with team.
Debugged this issue with complete RCA at our end and nobugs were found so i agree with @pulkit29 and it needs to be resolved for login via Mobile Number.

That doesn't sound right! Hmm, let's dig deeper into this. Does this happen with all apps you try to login to with a phone number?

 

Also, just to confirm, this error shows up after you logged in with your phone number?

 

Lastly, when you're already logged in on Spotify and then try to authenticate, does the same thing happen? 

 

I'd love to get a closer look here. Keep me posted!

Thanks for your quick response. I was able to replicate this issue with the following web apps(These are based on Spotify's web API)
- http://sortyourmusic.playlistmachinery.com/
- https://setify.co/
- And one of my projects based on Spotify Web API
This issue only occurs for apps using Spotify's Web authorization API. And it does not occur when you are already logged in on Spotify. Steps to replicate - :
1. Go to one of the above-mentioned links
2. Try to login with phone Number
3. The error 'Missing param client id ' would be thrown.

Thanks for your response, yes it happens with the app when we try to log in via mobile number, and as many times we tried to log in the same error is shown "Missing param client id".
But this issue does is not seen when we login with email.

Thank you for the detailed bug reports, @pulkit29 @annie007. We pushed a fix for this issue earlier today. Please let us know if you continue to see this problem.
