Web Playback SDK player.connect() never resolves in Development Mode — promise stays pending indefin

I'm building a personal project using the Web Playback SDK. Since the February/March 2026 changes, player.connect() returns a promise that permanently stays pending. getOAuthToken is never called by the SDK. No error events fire — not authentication_error, not account_error, nothing.

Confirmed:

• Premium account (/v1/me returns product: premium)
• Valid token with streaming scope
• Running on http://localhost:8081 (not 127.0.0.1)
• Widevine DRM available
• Web API + Web Playback SDK both checked in dashboard
• Client ID: 9faf83603ad841fb987f38e3845a171a

Is the Web Playback SDK still functional in Development Mode? Or does it now require Extended Access?
