Hi guys,

I was wondering whether there is a way of making embed iframe podcast player to start autoplay on initial load. Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to start playing the podcast embed player programatically using the injected SpotifyEmbedController.play()  once the player is ready. It looks like this does not work for some reason, the icon loading indicator of the play button has started for an instance and then stopped again. Attempted with the other API existing methods brought by SpotifyEmbedController like - playFromStart / togglePlay, no success so far. Do I miss something here?

I actually filed the same issue.

I can confirm that there’s a new version of the api pushed 2 days ago (js file in the loaded iframe) and since it doesn’t seem to work anymore (at least you cannot control it externally).

would be great if the Spotify team can have a look at this matter. Or update the docs if the JS api interface for iframe has changed

EventController.play() and autoplay simply don't work at the moment, I've been raising this all over the place. Its an issue that needs to be fixed.
