Podcasts have an excessive number of ads for those who are subscribers. We pay ourselves to have no ads. It doesn't make sense to have ads

Hey @GEAZILIMA 

The Premium subscription gives you ad-free music, however podcasts will still have ads.

Here's a Spotify employee post I've linked with more info:

"Podcasts usually include some advertising. This has been the case since the early days of podcasts, and continues to be true today, including on Spotify. Even as a Premium user, you may receive advertising or sponsored messages when playing a podcast. If you are a Premium user, you will still enjoy an ad-free music listening experience but this doesn't apply to podcasts. We don't offer premium podcast subscriptions."

Just received 5 ads in a row before my podcast started and I have premium. WTH. This hasn’t happened before, did they change another small print section of their agreements to give us ads on top of paying for premium? This is ridiculous

Im here cause I just got ads playing as well, I understand that podcasts have sponsors but there are ads playing separately from the podcast because they were specific to the area I moved to recently. Spotify, you aren't slick.

I have always gotten ads in the podcasts themselves but recently there have been ads as a separate track in-between my podcasts which never happened before. Why is this suddenly a thing?

I am also (starting recently) receiving Spotify ads between Podcasts (as a paying subscriber)... not cool, Spotify. When will this be fixed?

No, something is up. I've been listening to a certain podcast for a month now and have had no non-podcast ads. I had to cancel my Spotify due to a lack of job, but then reactivated it, and now am having the podcast PAUSE, no time movement, in the middle of what they're discussing, to get Tim Hortons ads and 3 others played.  Sketchy af. This is not solved, please look at.

Sorry to jump on this, I tried creating my own thread but it's having none of it. 

The last 2 days I've started getting Spotify ads in between and during podcast episodes. Not the usual ads by sponsors of the podcasts, actual Spotify ads (see attachment).

I've never had this before and frankly is winding me right up considering I subscribe!

I'd like to know why some podcast have add and others don't... I have been watching other stuff for literally days. And now the ads... What gives?
