The Basic plan is only available to certain Premium users who subscribed before a certain cut-off date (some point in June of this year). 🙂

I don't see it on the website. But on the Spotify app it lists it but I can't switch. How do you become eligible?

I find it very unfair that customers, who have a subscription for many years (in the first years direct and later via partner kpn) are excluded from the basic program. As a family We use spotify for daily music, but are not interested in podcasts or books.
therefore the basic subscription is enough for us. But apparently we are excluded. And that sounds really unfair to dedicated customers. I would expect more concideration from spotify. It is still European i presume?
