My Question or Issue

I recentrly moved from spain to sweden, and now I want to share spotify with my Girlfriend. She allready managed to change her country from spain to sweden, while I can't change so I can't share Duo with her.

When I try to change country, then I have to supply you with my credit card information. When I try to do that I get an error message saying "Ditt betalningssätt och ditt land matchar inte" which translates to "your payment method and country does not match".

I'm using a Revolut Visa card that is connected to a Euro account and SEK account registered in Latvia at the moment..

How do I continue? How can I register a duo account together th my gf?

Hey @narancha ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

In this case, you'll need a payment method that has been issued in Sweden. Otherwise, you won't be able to change your account's country setting to Sweden, while being on a paid plan.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with 🙂

I have the same problem (but UK to Italy).

If I switch the UK card to a Italian card, will my partner be able to immediately access our Spotify Duo account before the next billing, or will we be paying the additional amount with Duo's benefits?

Hey @Stefanobs ,

The changes will take effect from your next billing date. Until then, your country setting will remain unchanged.

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks.

Is there a way to contact directly Spotify customer service on this?

I've been a premium member since the very beginning and it's really upsetting that I can't get direct support on this.

I want a refund on this month Spotify Duo.

I'm paying Spotify for a problem that wasn't clear before the payment to me, but it was clear to Spotify. During the process I was asked where I was living with my partner – so Spotify knew before getting payed the extra amount that I couldn't get what included in the Premium Duo package.

Hey again, @Stefanobs ,

You can reach out to Support so that they can check if you're eligible for a refund: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/ 🙂
