Can't change Russian region to another country, where I've moved to recently

Solved!

Can't change Russian region to another country, where I've moved to recently

Plan

Free/Premium

Country
Armenia

My Question or Issue

Hi, Spotify community.
After you've closed Russian HQ and made Spotify unavailable, I've decided to change RU region for Armenia (where I've moved to).
The thing is, that I had 1 year premium activated at March and now It's gone.
So I'm trying to change region but it is impossible to do, because the region window in non-selectable.
I know that I'll be able to change it after my premium will expire, but It will happen at march 2023! Can you help me to solve it?
I really can't lose my playlists and account, so creating the new one is not an option.

Same here. But I live in the UK and can't change my country. It's **bleep** annoying

Hey @F1oyd and @BarbedCrow ,

I've checked with the mods backstage and it seems this is an issue that the Spotify team is currently looking into. Please be patient and try again in a couple of days.

I'll also post an update here once I get one. 🙂

Okay, that helped move forward a little bit, thanks- But now I just can't change it, and it doesn't even bring up a drop down menu.

When I hover my mouse over the menu, it just has a little red cross, and won't let me click on it anyway. Thanks for your help so far, though.

Marked as solution

Hey everyone!

The issue that prevented users from changing their account's country setting from Russia to another country has now been resolved.

Keep in mind that you can only change the country for your account if you’re based in the country you want to change it to:

  1. Log in to your account page.
  2. Click EDIT PROFILE.
  3. Scroll down to Country or region and select your new one from the dropdown list.
Note: Your new country or region only shows when you’re actually there.
  4. Click SAVE PROFILE.

Hope this helps 🙂

Thank you guys! Is there any option how I can transfer my premium to a new region?
