Can't change credit card information

Can't change credit card information

Hello,

I've been subscribed to Spotify premium for some time now, originally under a $4.99 per month "student account" and now as a $9.99 per month premium user.

I've ran into an issue while trying to change my credit card payment information. Although the "Subscription and Payment" section of my account settings has written that I am a Premium user being charged $9.99 per month, when I click to update my card information I am brought to a screen where I may enter the new card information and then the name of my university to try to prove my eligibility for a student account. At that point, I am not "authenticated" as a student and I cannot change my card information...
I don't wish to change my subscription type, just the card that I use to pay, but so far it's not possible with that problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Philip,

Must be frustrating but I think you might have better luck going to your account by clicking on Account Overview in the left hand collumn or clicking your user name in the upper right and selecting account.  Then on the right hand side there should be a green check and "Spotify Premium" click "View Details" below that and you should see a white "update" bar towards the bottom of the page.  Click that and you can then just key in the new card info.

Even though I don't have a student account anymore, it still redirects me
to this page where it says "$4.99 plus tax per month." The page just before
it has the correct payment plan at "$9.99 a month" but I am redirected to
the student link for some reason.

Is there anybody I can reach out to? It's crucial that I change my card
before the end of the month or I will have to cancel altogether.

No worries, worth giving it a try to simply change your card info on that page.  Just enter your new card info and take it from there - let me know how it goes.  Good luck, we'll get it right shortly.

I am having this same issue... there does not seem to be a way to only change my card information. The website will only let me change my card information if I simultaneously change my subscription type as well.
