My Question or Issue

I moved from Germany to the States a couple of months ago. I wanted to change my region in my Spotify account settings, but it will not let me do this. So, I followed the advice that was given multiple times and tried to update my payment information. But that, unfortunately, does not work. Every time I try to enter my US credit card number, I get an error message saying the card can not be added because it does not match the country in my region settings. Can anyone tell me what else I can do to update my region?

Thanks for reaching out.

 

In this case, you'll need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you can change your country setting through the dropdown menu here.

 

Once that's done, you can subscribe to your desired plan using your payment method that's been issued in the US at https://spotify.com/premium.

 

Instructions on how to cancel and how that affects your account can be found at https://support.spotify.com/article/cancel-premium/.

I have moved permanently overseas and have new payment details. I want to update my payment details - but it says they aren't valid due to not matching my on-account country, but when I try to change to new country it says that the plan isn't available. I was previously in NZ, and now in UK.
