Can't pay for duo due to country restrictions

I have a Japan based spotify account and a USA based bank account. Currently living in Japan tried upgrading to duo from standard premium, and thought it was glitching because it wouldn't let me upgrade so I canceled my subscription so I could start fresh. Turns out there is some country restrictions I wasn't aware of and somehow bypassed on my previous plan. Is there a way I can get back on a premium plan?

Thanks for reaching out.

Since you're in Japan and your account's country setting is set to Japan, you'll also need a payment method that's been issued there.

You'll be able to use your payment method from the US as soon as you're back in the US again.
